1. A cheap way to see Paris from above

If you wanna see Paris from above, go on the Tour Montparnasse and not on the Eiffel Tower - it is cheaper, you don't have to queue up, it's not crowded and you actually see Paris WITH the Eiffel Tower. How cool is that?!

2. Free Panorama View

Ejoy a free panorama view on the roof terrasse of the Galerie Lafayette which is on the Boulevard Haussmann.

3. No queuing at Louvre

The queue for the Louvre is always sooo long. Use the entrance next to the Metrostation "Palais Royal-Museé du Louvre" for line 1 and not the entrance at the glasspyramide.

4. Escape from the touristic

Champs Eliseés

The Champs Eliseés are very touristic and expensive. Instead you could go to the Rue Mouffetard where you can find lot's of small boutiques. You can find clothes, furntiture, decoration, great restaurants and coffeeshops. There is also a market which is open every tuesday to sunday mornings.

5. You're in Paris? You have to go on a market!

Look for "Rue Daguerre" . If you had French Lessons in Germany you will recognize "Arthur, le perroquet", he lived near "la Rue Daguerre" where every tuesday and saturday from 8am to 1pm a market takes place and is definitely worth visiting.

6. Yes Paris is expensive

Look at prices carefully. Even a cheap looking restaurant can be overpriced in a touristic area. Tab water is always free and for lunch you can find meal deals. ( At my last stay in Paris I payed 5,70€ for a cup of coffee because I didn't look at the prices).

7. Paris in October? Nuit Blanche is definitely a must-go !

Paris offers a wide range on cultural activities. One special event is the "Nuit Blanche" which takes place on every first saturday in october from 7pm to 7am. Nuit means night and blanche means white. It is a metaphor for the diverse events of art, theatre and music taking place all over the city during the whole night. Check out this site to learn more.

8. Dinner in White

The worldwide adapted Dinner in White was invented in Paris about 13000 people attended in 2014. Unfortunately the dinner is for invited guests only and the location is kept secret until the same evening. But nevertheless you will have fun by watching the spectacle on the streets. Get more information here.
